The following is taken from Decision Magazine.

We may be familiar with Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 10:4- The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. He also said, (5) We demolish arguments and every pretension that set’s itself up against the Knowledge of God, and we take captive to every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

So part of our spiritual warfare is driving out demonic mindsets and false assumptions, of expelling darkness with light and deception with truth. Then our battle is both a spiritual and intellectual as we engage in spiritual warfare with demons and their ideologies..

Paul also told us in the last days some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirts taught by demons. He further told us that if someone comes preaching a different Jesus or different gospel than we have received we are to reject it. He was very concerned with doctrinal purity.

The concern he was speaking about was not that they would completely deny Jesus but they would believe in a different Jesus. We absolutely see this taking place today. Some preach and teach the Bible is outdated. The beliefs are old fashioned and don’t reflect our enlightenment.

Augustine said this, “If you believe what you like in the Gospel, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the Gospel you believe, but yourself.”

We are in a spiritual battle only one that can be won by prayer and fasting.

This age and it’s teaching will be against us. But the Holy Spirit is for us.

The battle ahead will intensify. Many will abandon the “old way”.

The foundations of our faith will be questioned as never before. The good news is that in the life and power of the Spirit, grounded in the word of truth, that will carry us to victory and deliver many from deception and lies

1 Cor. 15:57 “ But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory brought our Lord Jesus Christ.”
